Cleveland Heights | Social Services

Sarah Wolf has always led from a strengths-based perspective. She learned early in her career that putting together a compatible team involved determining what everyone’s skills were and providing them with opportunities to contribute meaningfully. Sarah eventually saw a shift in her professional perspective that made her want to deepen her understanding of community-building and how to offer effective support, so she moved to Cleveland to attend the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences to earn a Master’s in social work, specializing in strengths-based approaches to community-building. Since graduating, Sarah has joined the team at FutureHeights and has devoted herself to working directly with Cleveland Heights residents to support their work to strengthen and empower their neighbors and community-build in their neighborhoods. Sarah also has a BA in English from Kent State and an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and has maintained a daily writing practice since January 1, 2011. This writing and management background coupled well with community-driven work and emphasizes the importance of listening and language, two components that increase clarity in any process and help pave the way to a productive path forward.
