Mary Louise

Mary Louise is a dedicated healthcare provider focused on empowering underserved communities and improving healthcare outcomes. Mary Louise views communities through a healthcare lens while understanding the environmental and systemic factors affecting their wellbeing. She advocates for thriving, not just surviving, and works with diverse groups to foster self-esteem, goal-setting, and healthy living. One of her most impactful initiatives was establishing a behavioral health department in a resource-limited Black community, which offers critical services, educational programs and serves as a safe space for dialogue and personal growth on topics such as gun violence, setting boundaries, depression, alcohol use, smoking, suicide, and how to access help. Mary Louise cohosts the “All These Things” podcast, focused on networking, breaking generational trauma, and promoting personal empowerment. She has collaborated with organizations like Case Western Reserve University’s Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative to motivate Black professionals to pursue careers in research. Additionally, Mary Louise has taught healthcare professionals at the University of Zambia and Case Western Reserve University, furthering her commitment to improving healthcare on a global scale.
