Veronica D. Howard started her fight in gun violence prevention after her son James L. Howard, Jr. was murdered in Cleveland, Ohio. Since then, she has been working closely with youth and other survivors of Gun Violence. Veronica has a wealth of community engagement and leadership. She founded Howards Huskies to provide young men alternatives to crime activity. Howards Huskies is a post-graduate program where young men are provided hope for their futures. Veronica is driven by her passion to be a part of the solution so that those who have not experienced gun violence will never know the pain.
