Richanda Jackson-Birks is a trauma advocate with a dedication to healing families and communities. In 2019, she founded 2BIOSPHERE Inc., a non-profit organization purposed to provide education, advocacy and resources to survivors of childhood trauma. She understands that the adversities of life can perpetuate dysfunction within our society, and it is essential that the individuals who formulate our communities are provided services to help them recognize and combat behaviors rooted in individual and collective trauma. She currently facilitates a support group and hosts a Podcast, TEA Talks (Trauma Education Advocacy), that speaks to overcoming the effects of trauma.  Her desire is to implement more Social, Emotional Learning (SEL) activities within the school systems and provide continuing education to teachers, administrators, and other school board staff on how to respond to trauma-based behaviors. Richanda serves at New Beginning Ministries Church where she is a ministry leader and a liaison between her Church and Max Hayes High School through the Adopt-a-School Network. She is a Certified Trauma Support Specialist and a Suicide Prevention Instructor.
