Kena Chappell, a Cleveland native, spent the first 15 years of her career in kitchen management before realizing a passion for community development. Since 2018, Kena has focused her skills in the nonprofit sector and is currently the Healthy Homes Coordinator at Northwest Neighborhoods where she manages a program providing funding and contractor oversight for senior citizens in the Detroit Shoreway, Cudell and Edgewater neighborhoods. Kena hopes to expand the Senior Home Repair Assistance Program to provide the much-needed resources to other Cleveland neighborhoods. Kena stays grounded and motivated with the love and support of her daughter Robyn, family and close friends.
