Jermaine Wheeler was born and raised in Cleveland’s Mt. Pleasant neighborhood as the youngest of five children. Throughout his years of growth in the community, the values of faith, compassion, and service have been a guiding force in his life. From Robert Fulton Elementary to Alexander Hamilton Middle School, Jermaine’s educational journey continued as a proud graduate of the Cleveland Job Corps, where he earned a certification in business. In adulthood, he further strengthened his commitment to community leadership by completing a leadership training course at the Neighborhood Leadership Institute. With his education and deep dedication to service, Jermaine has devoted himself to his community as an activist, farmer, husband, and father to five. His pursuit of a healthy lifestyle led him to become a pescatarian, inspiring his passion for farming and sustainable living. Today, he channels that passion into running a farming program at the juvenile detention center, helping young people cultivate growth, responsibility, and self-sufficiency.
