St. Clair Superior | Community Organizing
Britiny Hubbard is a Cleveland native with connections to the St. Clair Superior and Glenville neighborhoods and is driven by a passion for community service. In 2019, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public/Global Health Studies from Allegheny College. After graduating, Britiny pursued her interest in combating food insecurity by working at Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation as an AmeriCorps VISTA, serving as the manager of the Old Brooklyn Farmers Market (OBFM). Prioritizing the social determinants of health in the market design, her work at the OBFM contributed to an increase in the use of benefits such as SNAP, Produce Perks, WIC coupons and more. Britiny later worked at Ohio State University Extensions- Cuyahoga County (OSUE), where she was the Program Coordinator for the Summer Sprout Community Garden Program in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently, she serves as the Manager of Community Engagement at St. Clair Superior Development Corporation, where she strengthens community involvement and aims to understand the community’s needs, foster deeper relationships, and organize the community to make a positive impact.
