Texas KIPPsters in kindergarten, first, and second grades met the national student achievement norms in both math and in reading.
In both English and math, KIPP Texas average scores surpassed the national targets across kindergarten, first and second grades. These results wouldn’t be possible without the strong academic foundation we set for our KIPPsters in pre-K and kindergarten. With a strong emphasis on foundational literacy, conceptual math, and exposure to STEAM experiences (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), our goal is for students to love school from the very start as pre-K students.

A School and a Community
At KIPP Texas, our students, families, teachers, and staff create a community we call Team & Family. Through this community, our students are supported in every step of their education, and even as alumni after they leave our campuses.
Our KIPP Texas Cares Recovery Fairs provide food, water, and financial support to those affected by hurricanes, snow storms, and other natural disasters. We were also able to give financial assistance to our families negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The real-world practice of giving back has even been incorporated into the social-emotional curriculum at some of our schools, with students embracing volunteerism, to learn about social awareness and empathy.
Future-focused
With a focus on the futures of our KIPPsters, our KIPP Forward counselors guide students and alumni as they make critically conscious choices to chart their path toward a fulfilling life. KIPP Forward advisors remain in contact with KIPP Texas alumni to provide additional support as they continue their paths through college, career, and beyond.
