Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Lamikia has a passion for outreach in her community and bringing awareness to underserved populations. She has been a Nurse Case Manager for over ten years and has always tried finding ways to help in her community by incorporating health and wellness to residents’ daily lives while starting new paths within their sobriety. Lamikia prides herself on educating others on how to self-care and ways to improve self-worth through healthy choices. She has been a Registered Nurse for nearly twenty years and is currently the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Better Days Ahead, a nonprofit organization that provides sober housing for the vulnerable community. Lamikia also sits on the board of a nonprofit organization called Survived to Live for Women in Recovery that assists women in all aspects of recovery.
