Jefferson | Youth Violence

Jim Stone has been an advocate for change since a young age. Jim is presently employed at the Horseshoe Casino in the Surveillance and Security Department. Jim was formerly employed as a paramedic for the City of Cleveland, primarily serving the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood. Jim was raised in Mentor as the only boy and the youngest of four children. His work has strengthened his resolve to strive to be an effective change agent in the community. Jim is actively involved as a volunteer for a number of community agencies, including serving as a Big Brother volunteer for Big Brother/Big Sister of Northeast Ohio. Having had the unfortunate occasion to witness, firsthand, the devastating effects of youth violence, he consistently works to understand and ultimately eliminate this destructive behavior that plagues our communities.
