Franchon Garth is a student of the first graduating class of MLK/Law & Public Service Magnet School and is a generational cycle breaker, being the first person in her family to earn a degree. Franchon has a passion for serving others and has over 30 years of experience working with diverse groups of people, including those who are experiencing homelessness, incarceration, returning citizens, and people fighting addictions or mental illness. Franchon has a passion for working with children, both neurotypical and those with disabilities. She has founded The House of Joshua Empowerment Group, a safe space for men and women to heal collectively. Franchon’s vision is to create a Parent Café/Childcare Drop-in center to combat the crisis that many families experience when it comes to finding affordable and safe childcare.
