Cleveland | Community Organizing
Ciera Rawson works alongside people to strengthen their processes, relationships, and skills necessary to reach their goals. She has experience in the fields of youth development, organizational capacity-building, and housing & homelessness. Currently, Ciera serves as a Cleveland-based Community Engagement Coordinator with the Great Lakes region of the National Wildlife Federation. She applies her skills in program development, community engagement, process creation & documentation, staff training, and public speaking towards realizing environmental justice for people and wildlife in Cleveland. Ciera holds a B.A in Communication & Social Justice from The George Washington University and continues that education through programs like Second Day (2020-1), the Ohio Environmental Council’s Emerging Leaders (2021-2), and NLDP (2023-4). In gratitude, Ciera gives back through formal and informal mentoring of early-career folks, organizing programming and leadership-building at her church, and serving as the Communication Chair for Wild Ones Greater Cleveland. (Ciera loves connecting with passionate community-based leaders and contributing her technical skills towards increasing effectiveness of teams and organizations fighting for social change.)
