Christopher Begay is a Tsi’naajínii of the Diné Nation and currently is Chair for the Committee of 500 Years of Dignity & Resistance. He works to address unacceptable individual and institutional racism against Native American traditions that exist in our communities. He is a member of the Lake Erie Native American Council. He is Director of the Crooked River Dance Troupe created in 2007, to provide programming and services to educate and entertain, while stressing the importance of culture and personal awareness. He is an artist, activist, grass dancer, massage therapist, and teacher. Chris is a 2001 graduate of the National Institute of Massotherapy.
